Welcome to The Soccer Academy. We are a football academy with sessions available in Hounslow, Bracknell, Lightwater and all surrounding areas. Specialising in personal football training and coaching, and running football holiday camps for boys and girls, our qualified coaches have years of combined experience in delivering sessions, courses, schools and camps.
We can also offer one-on-one football training and football coaching at the location of your choice. Wherever the setting, and whatever the level, we always create a fun and safe learning environment for children. Please contact us to arrange a personal or group session.
Our academy is perfect for those aged between 5 and 11 who wish to learn and progress with football beyond normal school lessons and physical education. Led by former professional player Garry Haylock, our team coaches undergo stringent DBS checks, have FA approval and carry UEFA pro licenses.
All coaches play a key role in a child’s sporting development.
Playing football can literally set the ball rolling for a more active lifestyle, improving wellbeing and daily motivation. Of course, football is a team game, so it is ideal for children to learn and advance their key social and communication skills. We look to coach and nurture ability, technique and reading of the game, raising the platform for children to build their confidence and express themselves.
We believe that playing sport, particularly football, has a positive impact on all aspects of a child’s life. Irrespective of the venue, be it a school, your own chosen location or at one of our football holiday camps, our academy coaches still have an enthusiastic, almost childlike love for the game.
Our football academy holds the following sessions:
One-on-one training to develop ability and skills, these sessions can be booked in a block or on a one-off basis. We can host these from one of our locations or can travel and conduct training at home or an agreed facility.
Standard coaching and training held at schools, camps and events. From basic skills through to specific training attributes, these courses range from one-off sessions to full programmes, mainly undertaken in schools.
Whether you are starting out, looking to continue your progress or wish to fine-tune your skills, our one-on-one football training sessions can improve your game. Bookings can be made in blocks or on a one-off basis, and we can conduct these from one of our locations or from your home.
Ideal for boys and girls aged 5 to 11, we run football camps during half-terms, summer holidays and Christmas holidays. Full days run from 9.00am to 4.00pm with lunch, snacks and a detailed programme of activities included as part of a comprehensive package.
In addition to these sessions, our football academy also runs a girl’s football centre, and we can hold PE sessions in primary schools. We run successful football coaching and personal football training from the following bases:
Our one-on-one football training has been well received in our local area and the many surrounding towns, including Camberley, Guildford, Hounslow, Bracknell, Lightwater and Waverley.
Garry Haylock
Former professional player and manager Garry Haylock has over 33 years of experience in football. As a player, he represented Huddersfield Town and several clubs in Ireland before going on to coach in the Football League, Conference National and Conference South. His career highlight was playing in the quarter final of the European Cup Winners Cup against Lazio in 1999.
A UEFA pro licensed coach, Garry also works as an opposition scout for a League One team. Locally, he has run personal football training and football holiday camps across 4 different counties since 1994 and has taught PE in primary schools, as well as personal football training across the Surrey and Middlesex area for over 20 years.
Kevin Crosby
Kevin is a Level 2 coach who received a degree in Sports Coaching from St. Mary’s University and has been football coaching for the last 4 years. He currently runs his own football team in Surrey and held PE in a primary school.
He is a staunch supporter of Sunderland.
